State law requires a public hearing be conducted prior to City Council approving a Service Plan for a new metropolitan district, or an amendment to a service plan for an existing district, with no less than 20 days' notice prior to the hearing. The public hearing for the Southeast Public Improvement Metropolitan District ("District") is scheduled to be July 11, 2022. The District's original main purpose was to finance transportation related services and activities on a shared or partnership basis with a coalition of local governments located in the southeast Denver metropolitan area.
