Establishes the Elections Equipment and Technology Special Revenue Fund in the General Government Series to support Denver elections. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 10-29-19.

This ordinance establishes the Elections Equipment and Technology Special Revenue Fund, Fund Number 11874, in the General Government Series, to purchase new and replacement equipment, as well as fund equipment leases, storage and other space needs, Civic Engagement needs, and technology to support elections. Revenue is primarily General Fund transfers. The expending authority is the Clerk and Recorder. This is a cash basis, non-lapsing fund. The cost center is 0701100.
A companion ordinance will rescind $1.8M in budget from the Clerk and Recorder's General Fund appropriation to make a cash transfer to this new fund.
