A resolution authorizing expenditures in the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Case Management, Employment, and Training Special Revenue Fund for the "TANF FY17-18" program.
Authorizes the expenditure of $1,767,520 for the management and delivery of the Temporary Aid to Needy Families (TANF) Employment and Training Program by the Office of Economic Development for the program year from 7-1-17 through 6-30-18 for TANF participants in the city. The Committee approved filing this resolution by consent on 5-31-17.

The purpose of these funds is to reduce the number of Denver families in poverty by providing employment services to TANF participants, thereby increasing work participation and improving the chances for self-sufficiency. This particular contract will provide employment placement and retention services to those TANF participants that DHS deem "job-ready." As such, it is anticipated that this contract will serve approximately 30% of the full TANF caseload.
