A bill for an ordinance making appropriations from the State Conservation Trust Fund contingency and the Capital Improvements Fund contingency.
Appropriates $185,000 from the State Conservation Trust Fund contingency and $1,500,000 from Capital Improvement Fund contingency for a total amount of $1,685,000 for multiple capital projects, citywide. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 11-13-2018.

This ordinance seeks to appropriate $185,000 from the State Conservation Trust Fund contingency and $1,500,000 from Capital Improvement Fund contingency for the following projects.
• $100,000 of additional funding for the First Creek Park project being implemented in partnership with UDFCD.
• $85,000 of additional funding for construction and/or land acquisition at the Platte Farm Open Space in Globeville.
• $560,000 for new electrical switchgear in the County Jail Building 1.
• $300,000 to complete the relocation of the Sex Offender Registration (SOR) workspace, waiting area, and support spaces.
• $224,000 for construction of a carwash for DPD at the new Fleet Service Center.
• $173,000 for demolition of the old UPRR Yard Office near 35th and Wynkoop to support the completion of the 38th Ave TOD project. A new UPRR office was built as part of the 35th/36th Pedestrian Bridge project.
• $243,000 for property planning and evaluation as a result of returned earnest money from the 2000 S. Holly transaction.
These projects meet the justification for use of CIP contingency in that the they are completing an existing project where there is:
1. An unanticipated serious health and/or safety hazard
2. Changed conditions such as laws, regulations, or standards that require additional project elements; and
3. Extraordinary high bids and a scope of work that can not be reduced.
