Approves a contract with Turner Construction Company for $5,750,000 and for 210 days to provide building renovation services to the Family Crisis Center building, including renovation of the garden level and the upper level for use as the Mental Health Center of Denver Solutions Center, located at 2929 West 10th Avenue in Council District 3 (201952028). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 12-16-19. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 10-29-19.

Type and Scope of services to be performed:
The Family Crisis Center (FCC), located at 2929 W. 10th Avenue in Denver, CO 80204, was built in 2000 and is a 3-story building owned by the City and County of Denver. The FCC currently only uses the main level of the facility; the garden level and upper level have remained unused for over a year. This project will renovate the garden level and the upper level for use as the MHCD Solutions Center. The renovation will improve approximately 30,000 square feet (15,000 square feet per floor) within the building and will also include minor exterior construction improvements.
Programmatic components for the Solutions Center shall include, but not be limited to, a crisis clinic, and a 32-day transitional residence. The crisis clinic on the garden level will consist of 6 consumer rooms for a 23-hour stay, and 16 crisis stabilization rooms for stays up to 5 days. There will also be private toilets, a triage nurse station, and a medical exam room. The 32-day transitional residence will consist of 30 beds on the upper level and will be used for transitional residences for up to 32-days. A gym, kitchen, dining facility, and community rooms will also be included in the improvements.
