Type and Scope of services to be performed:

This project will be use Variable Message Signs (VMSs) to relay information to motorists when leaving downtown and approaching I-25. The VMSs will be primarily used to alert motorists of travel condition on I-25 such as incidents, travel times and suggested alternative routes. This will provide motorists with information that helps better distribute traffic between arterials and I-25. The VMSs will be deployed on Speer Boulevard approaching I-25, Broadway approaching I-25, and Colorado Boulevard approaching I-25. The exact locations will be determined during the scoping phase. The VMSs will be connected to CTMS to allow shared control between Denver and CDOT with the aim of improving interjurisdictional coordination of incident management.
