Type and Scope of services to be performed:

This amendment creates a $2,300,000 contract between the Department of Housing Stability (HOST) and Northeast Denver Housing Center Inc. (NDHC) to administer the Temporary Rental and Utility Assistance (TRUA) Program. This contract adds $300,000 to the existing contract amount of $2,000,000 for a total amount of $2,300,000. This amendment also revises program guidelines to remove the requirements for residents to pay a portion of the amount due; to live in the current residence for at least 60 days; and to create a sustainability plan for multiple months of assistance. NDHC will provide housing rental assistance and utility assistance to eligible households in the City and County of Denver. The program is designed to mitigate displacement by assisting low- and moderate-income residents experiencing a housing crisis maintain stability.  TRUA may provide up to six months of rental assistance and/or up to two payments of utility assistance in a 24-month period to Denver households earning up to 80% of the area median income. 

 

This $2,300,000 contract is expected to serve approximately 1,000 unduplicated households by December 31, 2020.
