Amends a contract with Ambient Energy, Inc. by adding two years for a new end date of 1-10-23 for on-call commissioning services for capital improvement projects construction contracts at Denver International Airport. No change to contract amount (PLANE-202055058-01). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 10-26-20. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 9-23-20.

Type and Scope of services to be performed:
In 2018, DEN signed contracts with Ambient Energy, Inc. (Ambient) to provide on-call commissioning services relating to DEN’s capital improvement projects for a three-year term.
This 1st amendment is to extend the contract with Ambient for an additional 24 months with no additional funds added. This is to cover work needed to continue commissioning services as the next procurement will be delayed easing DEN’s overall operating budget. This will continue on-call commissioning services for capital improvement projects construction contracts. All projects will be completed by individual task order. The current contract term is three years and a two-year extension is being requested as part of this amendment. The contract value is $2,000,000.00 encumbered by task order. The on-call commissioning services may include pre-design, design, construction and post-occupancy commissioning services as required per task order. This amendment will not increase contract capacity.
