A resolution approving a proposed First Amendatory Agreement between the City and County of Denver and HKS, Inc. to address design modifications related to the Stockyard Events Center and Stock Yards at the National Western Center.
Amends a contract with HKS Architects, Inc. by adding $335,718.97 for a new total of $2,986,732.97 for professional design services for the Stockyards Event Center and Stock Yards at the National Western Center in Council District 9. No change to contract duration (PWADM-201845050). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 10-26-20. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 9-22-20.

Type and Scope of services to be performed:
This contract amendment is for professional services supporting the design and coordination efforts stemming from additional regulatory requirements, third party coordination and end user requests. This includes the design of a holding basin to the stockyards as a regulatory requirement were defined during the design progression, additional equipment design coordination as electrical equipment was concurrently designed on the campus and design modifications for end user requests related to the distributed wash rack concept in lieu of wash rack buildings and Bison Pen area refinements.
