Through the community led efforts supported by Councilwoman Amanda Sandoval a full packet was presented to the board which included: 701 signatures in support (401 more than required) and 45 letters of support.

The Denver Parks and Recreation Advisory Board held a public hearing on the November 16, 2020 meeting, PRAB approved the motion unanimously.

Columbus Park sits between W. 38th Avenue and W. 39th Avenue, Navajo Street and Osage Street bordered by commercial and residential uses and is considered a neighborhood park.
