A resolution approving a proposed Amendatory Agreement between the City and County of Denver and Custom Environmental Services, Inc. for emergency response to spills, abandoned hazardous wastes, and disposal of contaminated soils, citywide.
Amends a contract with Custom Environmental Services, Inc. by adding two years for a new end date of 7-16-23 to provide on-call collection, packaging, management, transportation, and compliant disposal of regulated materials (hazardous and non-hazardous wastes) generated by City operations as well as in the role of emergency response to spills, abandoned hazardous wastes, and disposal of contaminated soils, citywide. No change to contract amount (201842464). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 7-19-21. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 5-26-21.

Amend the existing contract with Custom Environmental Services, Inc. (CES) to extend the term of the contract from 3-years to 5-years as allowed for in the initial contract language, and make no other changes.
Contractor will be relied upon to provide collection, packaging, management, transportation, and compliant disposal of regulated materials (hazardous and non-hazardous wastes) generated by City and County of Denver operations as well as in the role of emergency response to spills, abandoned hazardous wastes, and disposal of contaminated soils as needed, citywide.
