A resolution approving a proposed Amendatory Agreement between the City and County of Denver and Colorado Village Collaborative to increase funding for Safe Outdoor Space (SOS) sites.
Amends a contract with Colorado Village Collaborative by removing the restriction that 60% of funds within the contract scope be expended only on a singular second Safe Outdoor Space (SOS) site. No change to contract amount or duration (HOST 202158824-01). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 7-19-21. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 6-16-21.

Type and Scope of services to be performed:
Amends an agreement with Colorado Village Collaborative, through contract control number HOST 202158824-01 for $899,569 by unrestricting 60% of funds within the contract scope from being expended only on a single second SOS site; allowing to fund an additional site. This contract funds (2) Safe Outdoor Space (SOS sites) at any given time, with amenities and services that provide outdoor accommodation for up to 100 households. One of the previous supported sites was located at the Denver Community Church (1595 Pearl St Denver, CO 80203) which recently closed. The two current sites are located at Regis University (3333 Regis Blvd, Denver, CO 80221) and at the Park Hill United Methodist Church (5209 Montview Blvd, Denver, CO 80207). This SOS funding assists strategies to prevent the spread of COVID-19 among people experiencing unsheltered homelessness by providing safe space to socially distance, access to hygiene facilities, and supportive staffing.
