A resolution approving a proposed Second Amendment between the City and County of Denver and Stantec Architecture, Inc. concerning architectural and engineering services for the Great Hall Project at Denver International Airport.
Amends a contract with Stantec Architecture, Inc. by adding $100 million for a new total of $133,125,000 and four years for a new end date of 12-31-28 to continue to provide architectural and engineering services for the Great Hall Project completion at Denver International Airport (202161484; 201839412-02). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 1-18-22. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 12-15-21. Pursuant to Council Rule 3.7, Councilmember Ortega called this item out at the meeting on 1-3-22 for a one-week postponement to 1-10-22.

Type and Scope of services to be performed:
The primary focus for the original contract(s) was for preliminary architectural planning, design guidelines development and implementation, and design quality governance. The scope of work for said contract varied on an as needed basis. The amended contract will provide architectural and engineering services needed for the re-allocation of the current design and construction administration of the Great Hall Completion project. The Phases are in different states of design and construction. The amended contract will provide capacity to hold existing design Engineers or EOR (Engineers of Record) contracts for the completion of the project as well as enable them to work in tandem with the general contractor to provide efficiencies, and constructability to the project as well as incorporate findings into the Contract Documents.
