Detailed description of the item and why we are doing it. This can be a separate attachment.

 

This ordinance requests the appropriation of $2 million of Capital Improvement Fund contingency to be used to complete design and rehabilitation of the La Alma Pool to enable it to be back in service by 2023 outdoor aquatics season. This project meets the justification for use of CIP contingency given that it is addressing an unanticipated safety hazard and the repair is immediately necessary to maintain the integrity of the asset. The funding will be appropriated as follows:
