Type and Scope of services to be performed:

The 2017 Mill 15 Traffic Signal Upgrade project is programmed to improve traffic safety on these two roadways by redesigning and reconstructing the 19 signals to meet current safety standards. The scope of work is to replace existing signals with new signals that follow current City standards and MUTCD criteria and to reconstruct the intersections to comply with latest safety criteria. The additional services will consist of the following tasks: 1. Project Administration 2. Final Construction Documents (100%) a. Updates for Revised Field Conditions B. Construction Document Packaging 3. Construction Bid Documents (AD Set) 4. Signal Timing 5. Design Services During Construction. This amendment is required for additional professional services to finalize the design and prepare construction documents for advertisement. The project has experienced an extension in project schedule to accommodate Right-of-Way acquisition as well as extension to cover the construction timeline. Additionally, available construction funding and ROW acquisition timelines have caused the project to be split into two packages. The repackaging effort and anticipated review comments are beyond the initial scope and fee. Signal timing assumptions and methodologies within DOTI changed following the initial work efforts resulting in duplicative effort. Finally, since the project will be broken into two packages, services during construction are added to capture the additional work effort and timeline associated to provide the services during construction with future funding timelines.
