A resolution approving a proposed Amendatory Agreement between the City and County of Denver and WSP USA, Inc. for professional services related to environmental abatement and remediation activities at city-owned or operated properties.
Amends an on-call contract with WSP USA, INC. by adding $550,000 for a new total of $1,000,000 for professional services related to environmental abatement and remediation activities at city-owned or operated properties, citywide. No change to contract duration. (ENVHL- 202158612). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 10-3-2022. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 8-27-2022.

This request amends the existing On-Call professional services contract to increase in overall contract value (totaling $1,000,000), to allow for the continuation of environmental assessment, oversight, documentation, consultations, and industrial hygiene services for environmentally regulated building materials at properties owned and operated by the City to protect public health, remain in compliance with state laws and to minimize City’s environmental liability. Most consulting services are required by State regulations prior to and during abatements, renovations, and demolitions activities.
On-call general consulting (no work guaranteed) to provide the City with professional services for asbestos containing materials abatement, including inspections, air monitoring, sampling and project oversight as required by the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment. Lead-based paint sampling and analysis including abatement project designs and final clearance for public health. Industrial hygiene assessments, surveys, indoor air quality investigations and environmental risk assessments. Scope may also include designs services and management planning.
