Approves a grant agreement with the United States Department of Health and Human Services for $7,789,733 and through 02-28-2023 concerning the Ryan White grant program part A response to provide care, treatment, and supportive services to persons living with HIV/AIDS in the Denver Transitional Grant Area (ENVHL-202263919-00). This is a grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration for Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Part A response activities for individuals living with HIV/AIDS in the Denver Transitional Grant Area (TGA). The Denver Transitional Grant Area includes Adams, Arapahoe, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, and Jefferson counties. The grant will be issued to subrecipients for services such as: Medical Case Management (MCM); Outpatient/Ambulatory Health Services (OAH); Oral Health Care (OHC); Early Intervention Services (EIS); Mental Health Services (MHS); Substance Abuse Services - Outpatient (SAO); Food Bank/Home Delivered Meals (FBM); Psychosocial Support Services (PSS); Medical Transportation Services (MTS); Housing Services (HS); Emergency Financial Assistance (EFA) and Oral Health Fund (OHF).
This funding is awarded from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA) each year in two parts to make up the whole award for the fiscal year. The amount listed in this request of $7,789,733.00 is for the full award for this fiscal year, FY2022. The first part of the award for FY2022 was received in the amount of $2,484,567.00. The second part of the award for FY2022 was received in the amount of $5,305,166.00. These two Notice of Award amounts equal the total of $7,789,733.00 in this request. This year, the initial bill request from the Budget Management Office to appropriate the funds in the amount of $4,745,690.00 was based on a letter of intent from HRSA for FY2022 and was approved with bill number 21-1513. The funder, HRSA, required the funds for FY2022 to be appropriated at 50% of the estimated full award based on the letter of intent. This resolution request encompasses both parts of the funding from the Notice of Awards received that make up the total funding for FY2022 of $7,789,733.00. This request is being submitted now for approval of the final FY2022 award.
