Detailed description of the item and why we are doing it. This can be a separate attachment.

 

Designation of 1618 East 38th Avenue, as an individual structure for preservation, per Chapter 30 of the Denver Revised Municipal Code. The designation application was submitted by Historic Denver on behalf of the property owner, 1618 E 38th Ave LLC (Nathan Beal). On Dec 6th, the Landmark Preservation Commission unanimously recommended approval.

 

Concurrent with the designation review, a rezoning application requesting a change from a Former Chapter 59 PUD to U-MX-2x is also under reviewed. On Dec 7th, Denver Planning Board unanimously recommended approval of the rezoning application. The designation and rezoning cases are scheduled to appear before City Council (and Mayor/Council) on the same dates.
