PUBLIC HEARINGS - BILLS FOR FINAL CONSIDERATION

South Platte River Committee

24-1588 A bill for an ordinance changing the zoning classification for 950 &

970 North Federal Boulevard in Sun Valley.

Approves a map amendment to rezone property from E-MX-3 and E-MX-3, UO-1,

UO-2 to C-MX-8, located at 950 and 970 North Federal Boulevard in Council District

3. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 11-13-2024.

Council sat as a Committee of the Whole, commencing at 6:12 p.m., Council

President Pro Tem Romero Campbell presiding, to hear speakers on Council Bill

24-1588. No speakers signed up to speak in favor of the bill. Jesse Parris signed up

to speak in opposition of the bill. Rob Haigh of Community Planning and

Development delivered the staff report.

24-1644 A bill for an ordinance changing the zoning classification for

multiple properties in Indian Creek, University Hills, Goldsmith, Virginia

Village and Washington Virginia Vale.

Approves a map amendment to rezone multiple properties in the Goldsmith,

University Hills, Indian Creek, Washington Virginia Vale and Virginia Village

neighborhoods, in Council Districts 4, 5, and 6. The Committee approved filing this

item at its meeting on 11-19-2024.

A motion offered by Council member Alvidrez, duly seconded by Council member

Gilmore, that Council Bill 24-1644 be placed upon final consideration and do pass,

was followed by a motion offered by Council member Kashmann, duly seconded by

Council member Hinds, that Council Bill 24-1644 be amended in the following

particulars:

"1.

On page 1, lines 26-27, strike “S-MX-8, UO-2”.

2. On page 2, line 22, strike “3rd day of December, 2024” and replace with “17th

day of December, 2024”.

3. On page 2, line 23, strike “20240152D” and replace with “20240152F”.

4. On page 2, lines 25-26, strike “S-MX-8, UO-2”."

PRE-ADJOURNMENT ANNOUNCEMENT

Council President Pro Tem Romero Campbell announced that on Monday, January 27,

2025, Council will hold a required public hearing on Council Bill 24-1772 changing the

zoning classification for 2000 South Bannock Street in Overland; and on Monday,

February 3, 2025, Council will hold a required public hearing on Council Bill 24-1797

amending the Denver Zoning Code, concerning map amendments. Any protests against

Council Bill 24-1772 must be filed with the Council Offices no later than noon on

Tuesday, January 21, 2025.

ADJOURN

There being no further business before the City Council, Council President Pro Tem

Romero Campbell adjourned the meeting at 7:29 p.m.
