A bill for an ordinance establishing a new fund in the Grant and Other Money Projects Series for the “Central Branch Library Renovation” program.
Establishes a new capital fund, the “Central Branch Library Renovation” Fund, in the Grant and Other Money Projects Fund Series for revenues and expenditures related to design and construction of capital improvements to the Central Branch Library, as described in the agreement between the City and the Denver Public Library Friends Foundation. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 8-4-20.

This companion ordinance requests the creation of a new Central Library Renovation capital fund (fund number 38760) in the 38000 Grant and Other Money Projects fund series to support the receipt of funds for capital improvements from the Denver Public Library Friends Foundation as specified in contract 202055128. The eligible expenditures in the Central Library Renovation capital fund include design and construction of capital improvements. These capital improvements include alternate and additional components that could be constructed as a supplement to the Central Library Renovation project supported by the Elevate Denver Bond should the DPL Friends Foundation obtain additional funding. It will be a revenue-based and non-lapsing fund and will allow capital expenditure based on cash received to the fund. The expending authority will be the City Librarian of the Denver Public Library.
