Approves a contract with Flatiron Constructors, Inc. for $15 million and for 14 months for the Runway 7-25 Complex Lighting and Pavement Rehabilitation project including replacing fixtures, transformers, cables, signs, and regulators, upgrading the existing passive pavement sensor system, installing drainage to several electrical manholes, and other services at Denver International Airport (201737338). Type and Scope of services to be performed:
This Contract is to rehabilitate the RW 7-25 Complex lighting system by removing and replacing fixtures, transformers, cables, signs, and regulators. Rehabilitate the Complex’s pavement by removing and replacing deteriorated concrete slabs. Adjust utility structures. Refresh the pavement markings. The in-pavement fixtures and the airfield signs will be L.E.D. Upgrade the existing passive pavement sensor system. Install drainage to several electrical manholes. Rehabilitate the Complex’s pavement by removing and replacing deteriorated concrete slabs. Adjust the top elevation of several utility structures. Refresh the pavement markings. This construction contract was competitively procured with Executive Order 8B using the Invitation for Bid (IFB) procurement process. Three contractors submitted bids. Flatiron Constructors, Inc. was the apparent lowest responsive bidder and was approved for the term of less than three years.
