Approves the donation of surplus equipment to Open Media Foundation (OMF) to support OMF’s non-profit services that work to improve media literacy and to strengthen community engagement, citywide. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 11-3-20.

Open Media Foundation (“OMF”) spent several years serving as the City and County of Denver’s (“City”) public access provider, under a cable franchise agreement that ended on December 19, 2018.
The City has surplus equipment currently located in the operational office of OMF. The Manager of General Services has declared as surplus all City owned equipment currently located at OMF.
The City wishes to donate this surplus equipment to OMF and a list of the equipment is on file with the Denver Clerk and Recorder’s Office as Clerk File No. 20200081. The City intends to donate such equipment to support OMF’s non-profit services that work to improve media literacy and to strengthen community engagement.
The value of the equipment proposed to be donated is $159,194.65 as of May 13, 2020.
