Type and Scope of services to be performed:
Funding acceptance to support efforts supporting sheltering and related services for people arriving from the southern border.
The City and County of Denver, Department of Finance, filed with the State of Colorado Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, a request for emergency funding through FEMA. The City and County of Denver (the City) has experienced a significant influx of non-citizen individuals arriving from the southern border since late 2022. As a result, critical resources have been made available to help with shelter, food, supplies, and transportation to their destination.
The Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 Shelter and Services Program (SSP) provides grant funding to non-federal entities that serve noncitizen migrants recently released from US Department of Homeland Security custody to provide shelter, food, transportation, acute medical care, personal hygiene supplies, and case management services, and to provide funding to non-federal entities to increase their capacity to shelter noncitizen migrants recently released from US Department of Homeland Security custody, including renovations and modifications to existing facilities.
