A bill for an ordinance approving a proposed Amendment to Agreement between the City and County of Denver and Urban Drainage and Flood Control District regarding flood control improvements for Sanderson Gulch.
Amends an intergovernmental agreement with Urban Drainage and Flood Control District (UDFCD) by adding $1 million in UDFCD funds and $7.4 million in City funds for a total agreement amount of $10 million for drainage and flood control improvements along Sanderson Gulch from Lipan Street to the South Platte River in Council District 7. No change to contract duration (201523631-02). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 7-31-17. The Committee approved filing this bill by consent on 5-27-17.

Type and Scope of services to be performed:
This amendment will add $1,000,000 from UDFCD and the City will provide additional matching funds of $7,400,000 (total City matching funds of $8,200,000) bringing total contract to $10,000,000. Agreement will fund final design, Right-of-way Acquisition and drainage and flood control improvements along Sanderson Gulch, Lipan St to the South Platte River. These funds will be held by Urban Drainage and used for design until design is complete. Any remaining funds will be remitted to the City for construction costs.
