Type and Scope of services to be performed:

Approves a contract with Coffman Engineers, Inc. in the amount of $600,000 for a term of 3 years to conduct Denver Fire Department and National Fire Code required Smoke Control Testing of DEN’s Fire Alarm Smoke Control System.  Coffman Engineers, Inc. was the successful contractor awarded through a competitive bid process.  Coffman Engineers, Inc, is familiar with the requirements necessary to conduct a complete and proper code required test.  The contract consists of testing 1/3 of all the smoke control equipment in the Main Terminal and Concourses, which allows for a full 100% equipment test upon completion of the contract.  The testing occurs throughout the above freezing temperature months to run the equipment to bring outside air into the building.
