Approves a three-year $4,210,908 contract with CenturyLink Communications, LLC for high-speed internet services, a Synchronized Optical Network and managed network, distributed denial-of-service, and professional information technology services at Denver International Airport (201525744-00). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 6-11-18. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 5-9-18.

Type and Scope of services to be performed:
CenturyLink will provide continuity of telecommunications services, including high-speed internet services, a Synchronized Optical Network (SONET) managed network, Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) services and professional IT services on an as-needed basis for Denver International Airport (DEN). SONET is an optical transport system for voice and data services to the entire DEN campus and Airlines, Concessions and Tenants. DDoS is a proactive mitigation service to deny internet service in the event of a cyberattack. CenturyLink will analyze network traffic, determine if a cyberattack is occurring and initiate mitigation strategies as appropriate.
CenturyLink will also provide high-speed internet services such as public internet connectivity and a network managed solution for performance reporting and monitoring 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. DEN’s publicly acclaimed high-speed internet Wi-Fi services provides access to the DEN campus for Airlines, Tenants, Concessionaire and the traveling public. CenturyLink will provide IT and managed services to DEN 24 hours per day, 7 days per week on an as-needed basis.
