Type and Scope of services to be performed:

The scope of work includes COVID wastewater sampling work, epidemiology and disease intervention work, and ongoing vaccinations, outreach, and engagement work from our endemic COVID team. In a continued effort to reduce the level of COVID-19 transmission in our communities, the Denver Department of Public Health & Environment is working with partners in the community to conduct a pilot program that will test wastewater for COVID-19. The epidemiology and disease intervention staff will work with the wastewater sampling team to analyze the data and identify trends. They will also continue to address COVID outbreaks in priority settings (schools, jails, congregate settings, etc.). The Endemic COVID team will continue to transition our COVID only related services and resources to a foundational part of a suite of equitable services and resources we offer to the public. This team works closely with the Epidemiologist and Disease Intervention Specialist to follow-up on emergent COVID needs and residents in need of resource and service navigation.
