A resolution approving a proposed Second Amendatory Agreement between the City and County of Denver and HKS, Inc. to address design modifications related to the Stockyard Events Center and Stock Yards at the National Western Center.
Amends a contract with HKS Architects, Inc. by adding $380,620 for a new total of $3,367,352.97 for additional design services for infrastructure and regulatory requirements at the Stockyards Event Center and adjacent Stockyards at the National Western Center in Council District 9. No change to contract duration (201845050). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 3-8-21. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 2-2-21.

Type and Scope of services to be performed:
This contract amendment is for design services for additional stockyards infrastructure, and addressing the regulatory requirements. Services include: modifications to the grading and storm sewer, permit drawings reflecting the surface changes, mechanical and plumbing revisions to the wash rack design, coordination with the Horizontal Designer related to the regulatory-required changes, integration of salvaged historic elements into the final design and design of a wash rack area at the SE corner of the Stockyards. This scope is included within the NWC program budget and will be paid exclusively from NWC program funds.
