Approves a grant agreement with The Salvation Army for $550,674 and through 12-31-2025, through the Healthy Food for Denver’s Kids Initiative, to provide health and nutrition education and to support a community garden located in Council District 1 (ENVHL-202368598). Lambuth Family Center seeks to provide its clients with more healthy nutritious food on a regular basis. It wants to educate its families regarding what are healthy foods and eating habits. It wants to keep its community garden in operation and hire someone to oversee the garden activities and conduct classes on cooking and nutrition.
