Type and Scope of services to be performed:

Amends a professional design services contract (DOTI-202371379-01[202056933-01]) with WILSON & COMPANY, INC., ENGINEERS & ARCHITECTS for 48th Ave Storm Globeville. Amendment to add $894,852.50 in capacity and extend contract term by 3 years until 1/5/2027. The 48th Avenue Storm Interceptor project was identified as a key project to relieve drainage problems in the Globeville neighborhood and serves the Globeville/Utah Junction basin (Basin 0059-01). A drainage analysis and conceptual design was completed as part of the Globeville Stormwater Systems Study (GSSS) - Final Draft December 2019. The general project alignment starts at Lincoln Street and 48th Avenue, passes through Argo Park, under the BNSF railway, along Elgin Place, crosses Washington Street, and then continues along 48th Avenue to a new outfall into the South Platte River. The portion from just west of Washington Street to the South Platte River is considered Phase 1 and is funded for construction. This scope includes professional services to perform the final design, initial NEPA investigation, and construction support for Phase 1 of the project. Phase 1 includes the realignment of 48th Avenue, an outfall to the South Platte River, an underground storm water box culvert, and a greenway. Two components of the project will be separated from the 48th Avenue Greenway design package and constructed with adjacent City projects. The outfall will be constructed with the Globeville Levee, and the culvert under Washington Street will be constructed with the Washington Street project. The City pursued a US DOT Reconnecting Communities grant for additional construction funding. This scope includes funds to get the NEPA process started as soon as the grant recipients are announced at the beginning of 2024. Includes funds for basic services, additional services, and reimbursables.
