A resolution approving a proposed Third Amendment to Sublease Agreement between the City and County of Denver and DP Media Network LLP for additional improvements at 101 West Colfax Avenue.
Amends a lease agreement with DP Media Network LLC, by adding $370,000 for a new total of $31,689,346.69 to reimburse the sub landlord for essential improvements requested by the city and for services such as carpet cleaning, key copies and minor repairs and other improvements for office space on multiple floors of the Denver Post building at 101 West Colfax Avenue. No change to contract duration (201626030-03). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 3-18-19. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 2-12-19.

The city first entered into a sublease agreement at 101 W. Colfax Avenue with Denver Post Media/DP Media Network in 2016 to address FTE growth requirements. CCD subleases space on floors 1,7,8 and 9. As part of the amendments, the landlord provided limited tenant improvements on floors 8 and 9. Due to agencies organizational changes and requirements, CCD requested additional essential improvements which requires reimbursing the sublandlord $320,000. An additional $50,000 is included in this amendment for future potential services such as carpet cleaning, key copies and minor repairs and improvements.
