A bill for an ordinance approving a proposed Amendment to Agreement between the City and County of Denver and Urban Drainage and Flood Control District regarding flood control improvements along Cherry Creek from Monaco Parkway to Iliff Boulevard.
Amends an intergovernmental agreement with Urban Drainage Flood Control District by adding $600,000 for a new total amount of $3.7 million for construction of drainage and flood control improvements along Cherry Creek as part of the Cherry Creek from Monaco Parkway to Iliff Avenue project in Council District 6. No change to agreement duration (201103770). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 6-26-17. The Committee approved filing this bill by consent on 5-16-17.

Type and Scope of services to be performed: This amendment will add an additional $250,000 in UDFCD funds; $100,000 in SEMSWA funds; and $250,000 in CCD Wastewater enterprise funds to the Cherry Creek from Monaco Pkwy to Iliff Ave project. These funds will be used for construction of drainage and flood control improvements along Cherry Creek to stabilize the creek and improve habitat and recreation. The project is being managed through design and construction by the UDFCD.
