A resolution approving a proposed Third Amendatory Agreement between the City and County of Denver and Northeast Denver Housing Center, Inc. to increase the maximum contract amount, extend the term of the agreement, and to continue to administer the Temporary Rental and Utility Assistance (TRUA) Program.
Amends a contract with Northeast Denver Housing Center Inc. by adding $750,000 for a new total of $3,050,000 and three months for a new end date of 3-31-21 for administration of the Temporary Rental and Utility Assistance (TRUA) program (201846925-03; HOST-202055063-03). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 11-30-20. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 11-4-20.

Type and Scope of services to be performed:
This amendment creates a $3,050,000 contract between the Department of Housing Stability (HOST) and Northeast Denver Housing Center Inc. (NDHC) to administer the Temporary Rental and Utility Assistance (TRUA) Program. This contract adds $750,000 to the existing contract amount of $2,300,000 for a total amount of $3,050,000. This amendment also extends the contract from an existing term of 1/1/2019-12/31/2020 to 1/1/2019-3/31/2021. NDHC will provide housing rental assistance and utility assistance to eligible households in the City and County of Denver. TRUA may provide up to six months of rental assistance and/or up to two payments of utility assistance to Denver households earning up to 80% of the area median income.
This $3,050,000 contract is expected to serve approximately 1,280 unduplicated households by March 31, 2021.
