Establishes the Parks and Recreation Capital Contributions Fund in the Grant and Other Money Projects Fund Series for revenues and expenditures related to planning, design and construction of Parks and Recreation capital projects. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 11-26-19.

This ordinance requests the creation of a new Parks and Recreation Capital Contributions capital fund (fund number 38705) in the 38000 Grant and Other Money Projects fund series to support the receipt of funds for parks and recreation capital projects from partner organizations or private entities. The eligible expenditures in the Parks and Recreation Capital Contributions capital fund include capital improvements, such as planning, design, or construction activities for parks and recreation projects. It will be a revenue-based and non-lapsing fund and will allow capital expenditure based on cash received to the fund. The expending authority will be Executive Director of Parks and Recreation. This is an administrative transaction to align Fund structure with capital budget procedures for the Grant and Other Money Projects Fund Series and new financial reporting system.
