A resolution approving a proposed Contract between the City and County of Denver and PCL Construction Services, Inc. to provide construction related services for the new Northfield Fire Station.
Approves a one-year $5,288,352 contract with PCL Construction Services, Inc. for construction services for the buildout of the Northfield Fire Station at Central Park Boulevard and 50th Avenue in Council District 8 (201842009). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 6-11-18. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 5-8-18.

Type and Scope of services to be performed:
Construction Management/General Contractor (CM/GC) Services for a new Northfield Fire Station (NFS) located on the southeast corner of Central Park Boulevard and 50th Avenue in Denver, CO 80238 on an approximately 1.5-acre site. The new facility will be a 2-bay fire station of approximately 12,000 square feet. The property is currently owned by the City.
Programmatic components for NFS shall include, but not limited to, apparatus bays, living quarters, watch office, fitness area, community room, hose tower, communications tower, and support spaces to support the needs of the Denver Fire Department.
This initial Guaranteed Maximum Price 1 (GMP 1) contract includes foundations, structural steel, site grading and other misc. scope for $5,288,352.00. Pending completion of final design documents, this contract will be amended and brought back through City Council in Summer of 2018 to contract for GMP 2, which will include the remaining building scope, i.e. interior finishes, etc. GMP 2 is currently valued at approximately $2,500,000 The total construction contract value will be approximately $7,800,000.
