Approves a contract with the Denver Rescue Mission for $733,596 and through 12-31-20, to provide day shelter, outreach, essential services and on-site medical and behavioral health services to adult individuals who are experiencing unsheltered homelessness, located at 1130 Park Avenue West in Council District 9 (2019-52486-00). Type and Scope of services to be performed:
Denver Rescue Mission, through contract control number 2019-52486-00, for $733,596 with a term of November 1, 2019 to December 31st, 2020, to provide Day Shelter, outreach, essential services and on-site medical and behavioral health services to adult individuals who are experiencing unsheltered homelessness. This contract will provide services engagement to 30 individuals a day and increase access to the Lawrence St Community Center by 5% in the next year.
Denver Rescue Mission (DRM) will provide Day Shelter, outreach, essential services and on-site medical and behavioral health services to adult individuals who are experiencing unsheltered homelessness. DRM will establish a Homeless Engagement Team. The team will conduct outreach in the Ballpark Neighborhood to encourage individuals to access services and to increase the number of individuals accessing shelter from the Ballpark Neighborhood.
Homeless individuals will be provided access to essential services such as meals, showers, bathrooms, laundry, overnight shelter and access to services that will assist them in moving towards long-term solutions. Medical and behavioral health services will also be provided on-site.
