Approves a license agreement with Denver Health & Hospital Authority (DHHA) for $45,000 and through 8-31-2028 for DHHA to use ten parking spaces at $25 per space, per month, in the Denver Human Services parking garage located at 2885 West 11th Avenue, which is adjacent to DHHA’s Westside Clinic in Council District 3 (FINAN-202369363). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 10-9-2023. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 9-5-2023.

This License Agreement allows Denver Health and Hospital Authority (DHHA) to use 30 designated covered parking spaces located on the lower level of the Castro Parking Garage at 2885 W 11th Avenue. DHHA’s Westside Clinic is located adjacent to the City’s parking garage.
Federal Boulevard widening decreased the number of surface parking spaces available for DHHA patients on DHHA’s surface lot. The garage parking spaces will be used by DHHA staff to free up surface parking spaces for DHHA patients. A prior MOU governed the use of these spaces; this license formalizes the prior MOU.
The license is for a 5 year term with a license fee of $25.00 per parking space per month. Either party may terminate this agreement with 30 days written notice to the other party.
