Amends an intergovernmental agreement with the City of Sheridan by adding $7,346,400 for a new total of $27,731,294.10 and 3 years for a new end date of 12-31-2025 to provide fire protection services within the municipal boundary of the City of Sheridan (FIRES-201208809-10/ FIRES-202265589-10). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 12-19-22. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 11-23-22.

Type and Scope of services to be performed:
Tenth Amendment to Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) for the Denver Fire Department to provide fire protection services within the municipal boundary of the City of Sheridan (including specific fire prevention services-plan reviews, fire safety inspections, etc.). Revenue amount for 2023 will be $196,117.00 per month. Revenue amount for 2024 will be $203,962.00 per month. Revenue amount for 2025 will be $212,121.00 per month. In 2010, the City and County of Denver entered into an agreement with the City of Sheridan to provide fire suppression services for its citizens.
The Denver Fire Department provides fire suppression, emergency medical services, technical rescue, hazardous materials response, water and high angle rescue to residents of the City and County of Denver. These fire and emergency services are also provided to City of Glendale, City of Sheridan, Englewood and Skyline Fire District through separate intergovernmental agreements.
Denver Fire’s Engine 36 operates out of Sheridan’s old Fire Station located at 4101 S. Federal Blvd which is owed by Sheridan.
