A resolution approving and providing for the execution of a proposed Grant Agreement between the City and County of Denver and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment concerning the “COVID Immunization Round #4 Denver” program and the funding therefor.
Approves a grant agreement with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment for $948,892 and through 6-30-24 for immunization and vaccination programming focused on populations disproportionately affected by COVID-19, including community vaccination events, on-going clinic sites, at-home vaccination and other programming for people disproportionately impacted by COVID-19, including racial and ethnic minority groups, and children, citywide (202160460). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 11-15-21. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 9-29-21.

Type and Scope of services to be performed:
This project serves to aid in the control the spread of COVID-19 in Colorado. The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in an unprecedented public health response worldwide. The funding will aid in developing and implementing programming for bringing vaccine to disproportionately impacted communities through community vaccination events, establishing and managing on-going clinic sites, and providing at-home vaccination for individuals required to stay home for health and safety reasons. This project also includes engaging in existing community outreach activities to collaborate with other partners to improve education and outreach to prioritized communities of focus, including community based organizations and community health centers where applicable. Additionally, this project will provide education and outreach for COVID-19 vaccination to people disproportionately impacted by COVID-19 disease, including racial and ethnic minority groups, and children.
