Type and Scope of services to be performed: Per the ongoing Intergovernmental agreement with AHEC, the City would like to make capital PEG funds available to AHEC as laid out in the 10-Year Ascertainment Plan conducted by CBG Communications, Inc. during the Comcast Franchise contracting process.  These funds were committed to AHEC to run an Educational Access TV station and will be used to purchase video and audio capital equipment necessary for the production of Educational Access Television content and for the hands-on experience that educates and benefits the students and our community.

 

AHEC is one of the City’s Designated Educational Access TV Providers, contracted to support the City’s PEG Access Television provider contract commitments as outlined in Section 9 of the Comcast and CenturyLink Cable Franchise Agreements.  AHEC's dedication and vision for the future growth of Educational Access Television content creation and technical training shows in the increased campus awareness, established partnerships, student enrollment, and faculty involvement.
