Type and Scope of services to be performed:

Mental Health Care of Denver d/b/a WellPower will continue to provide 24/7 co-responder services in areas of highest need.  A team of clinicians, case managers, a case manager supervisor, program evaluator and a program manager will continue to

work collaboratively and in partnership with Denver’s Police, Fire, Sheriff and Parks Departments, community organizations and community stakeholders.

 

The Co-Responder Program provides 24/7, Citywide response for situations necessitating a law enforcement response (presence of weapons, situational security, high acuity and immediate response needed). Additional Co-Responders support co-response for compliance and enforcement by Park Rangers, problem-solving and navigation to decrease overreliance on Emergency Medical Service (EMS) resources through 9-1-1, clinical support for Court-ordered medication and eviction situations, and others. This contract funds 17 clinicians, 4 case managers, and 7 Outreach Case Coordinators.
