Approves a contract with IHC Scott, Inc. for $ 4,161,905.20 and one hundred twenty-three (123) consecutive calendar days to support airfield construction, including repairs and improvements to pavement of taxiways, airfield lighting, and new drainage systems, located at Denver International Airport in Council District 11 (PLANE-202266065). Type and Scope of services to be performed:
The 2023 Annual Airfield Pavement Rehabilitation contract will replace deteriorated pavement, and remove and reinstall airfield lighting, transformers, and cables at Denver International Airport. Additionally, the project will provide construction services to add drainage piping from building roof drains to trench drains and replace pavement markings and joint sealant as needed. This infrastructure is needed to improve the operational capacity and efficiency of the airport.
The 2023 Annual Airfield Pavement Rehabilitation project will replace deteriorated concrete pavement at taxiways Charlie Sierra and Mike, the apron at south cargo, improve any deficient taxiway safety areas, and upgrade the airfield lighting on taxiways Charlie Sierra and Mike within the construction site and the panels at Gate 1 on the airfield complex. Additionally, this project will refresh the surface painted pavement markings, add new lighting controls to runway complex 16L-34R and electrical power controls to gate 1, and replace the joint seal near the center core of concourses B and C. The project also adds new drainage from FED-EX down drains to the storm drain system.
