Type and Scope of services to be performed:
Through our mobile food pantry program, Jewish Family Service (JFS) works to improve food access for Denver youth and their families by bringing nutritious, culturally responsive food directly to families’ neighborhoods. JFS’s mobile food pantry prioritizes communities identified as food deserts to reach children and families without access to transportation or affordable groceries. The mobile food pantry offers year-round access to nutritious and varied food items that clients select themselves, guaranteeing that all delivered food meets children’s preferences as well as each family’s cultural and medical dietary restrictions. JFS collaborates closely with clients, community members, and trusted neighborhood institutions to ensure the pantry continues to deliver a variety of desired, culturally appropriate food items at convenient times and locations.
