Type and Scope of services to be performed:
There are three primary components to the South Platte River and Tributaries Program:
1. SPR: Ecosystem restoration and associated flood risk mitigation for adjacent properties through new, enhanced and/or connected habitat along 6.5 miles of the South Platte River
2. Weir Gulch: Structural improvements to Weir Gulch that will increase conveyance capacity and remove hundreds of structures from flood plain designation
3. Harvard Gulch: voluntary, non-structural flood risk management program for up to 176 properties along E. Harvard Gulch
This agreement represents a partnership agreement between the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the City and County of Denver that outlines how the two entities will partner to deliver the South Platte River and Tributary project that was congressionally authorized in the Water Resources and Development Act 2020. This agreement details the project outputs, the cost share splits between the Federal government and the City, designates the City as the lead in project delivery, outlines the process in which the Federal government will reimburse the City, and captures general conditions and requirements the City will need to meet in order to seek reimbursement from the Federal government.
