Amends a contract with Volunteers of America Colorado Branch by adding $266,028 for a new total of $686,478 and six months for a new end date of 12-31-20 to provide staffing support and to shift operations from activated respite at VOA Family Motel to enhanced non-congregant sheltering and services for families and individuals experiencing homelessness in response to the COVID-19 pandemic (HOST 202054654; HOST-202055725-01). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 10-26-20. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 9-23-20.

Type and Scope of services to be performed:
Authorizes a first amendment to the contract with Volunteers of America Colorado Branch through contract control number HOST-202055725-01, which supports people experiencing homelessness in response to the COVID-19 public health crisis.
Contract currently supports operations at the VOA Family Motel for activated respite, which provides rooms for individuals medically advised to isolate. Amendment to shift operations to general sheltering and services (non-congregant sheltering) for families and individuals, including non-COVID-19 respite beds for men.
