Within Denver Economic Development & Opportunity, the Division of Small Business Opportunity (DSBO) is governed by the DRMC Chapter 28 Articles III, V, VII. The last Ordinance was amended in December 2017, with a sunset date that currently stands at December 31, 2019.
In the 18 months, DSBO has worked with multiple stakeholder groups and a third-party consultant to make recommendations to the Ordinance with the goal of improving DSBO and the services provided for small, minority and women-owned businesses. DSBO is committed to addressing these recommendations by making changes to the Ordinance, Rules and Regulations and internal policy & procedures. DSBO continues to engage the community and business owners to prioritize recommendations.
Amendments to the DSBO Ordinance will extend the DSBO program for six months to allow for more time to discuss community recommendations to the DSBO program and identify needed changes to the Ordinance, Rules and Regulations or internal policies and procedures.
