A resolution authorizing and approving the expenditure and payment from the appropriation account designated “liability claims,” the total sum of Six Million Dollars ($6,000,000), payable to The Estate of Marvin L. Booker and Roxey A. Walton, as personal representative, in the amount of Four Million Six Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($4,650,000) and to Killmer, Lane & Newman, LLP, in the amount of One Million Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($1,350,000) for costs and attorneys fees, by the City and County of Denver, in full payment and satisfaction of all claims in Civil Action No. 11-cv-00645-RBJ-KMT in the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. (SAFETY & WELL-BEING) Settles a claim involving the Denver Sheriff Department. This resolution was approved for filing at the Mayor-Council meeting on 11-25-14.
