Title: A bill for an ordinance designating certain properties as being required for public use and authorizing use and acquisition thereof by negotiation or through condemnation proceedings of fee, easement and other interests, including any rights and interests related or appurtenant to properties as needed for the 33rd Street and Festival Area Projects. (NEIGHBORHOODS & PLANNING) Grants authority to the City to acquire though a negotiated purchase or condemnation all or a portion of any property interests in the property generally located at the 3300 block of Brighton Boulevard, extending west to Arkins Court, for the purpose of creating: (1) a new 33rd Street from Brighton Boulevard to Arkins Court, and (2) a “Festival Area” extending north from the proposed 33rd Street to 35th Street. The Committee approved filing this bill on consent on 11-27-14.
