A bill for an ordinance authorizing the purchase of capital equipment items from the "Urban Areas Security Initiative” Special Revenue Fund budgets. (HEALTH, SAFETY, EDUCATION & SERVICES) Approves the procurement of explosive equipment for about $500,000 through Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) grant funds to provide resources for regional bomb teams to respond to terrorist attacks. The Committee approved filing this bill by consent on 3-17-11.
