A bill for an ordinance accepting funding from the United States of America for the "State Criminal Alien Assistance Programs (SCAAP)” for Fiscal Year 2010 and authorizing expenditures therefor.
(HEALTH, SAFETY, EDUCATION & SERVICES) Accepts $769,680 from the US Department of Justice for the State Criminal Alien Assistance Program (SCAAP) award to partially refund correctional facilities for housing foreign born inmates who are convicted of a felony or two or more misdemeanors. The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day period is on 12-20-10. The Committee approved filing this bill by consent on 10-11-10.
